The reward

Pre-registering for TachTables on Google Play earns the Walnut Wood Skin: a finish that sets the deck in a walnut plinth, with turned wooden knobs and a backlit panel. Pre-registering for the reward means accepting these terms.

It changes how the deck looks and nothing about what it does. Playback, analysis and every other feature work the same whichever finish the deck wears.

Who receives it

• The Google account that pre-registered for TachTables through Google Play, wherever Google Play offers pre-registration for it.
• One reward per Google account.
• Using it needs TachTables on a device signed in to that account, with the Google Play Store app on it.

How it arrives

Google Play grants the reward to your account. TachTables asks Google Play what your account holds each time the app opens or comes back to the screen, so the reward appears the first time you open the app after Google Play has granted it, and the app tells you when it does. If a deck is playing at that moment, the notice waits until it stops.

Keeping it

Once the app has the reward, it stays unlocked on that device whether or not Google Play can be reached. Losing the connection, or getting no answer from Google Play, does not take it away.

It belongs to your Google account rather than to one device. Reinstall the app, or sign in to the same account on another device, and the app finds the reward again the next time it reaches Google Play.

The one thing that removes it is Google Play reporting that the account no longer holds it, as when Google reverses a grant.

What it is not

• It has no cash value, and cannot be exchanged for money, credit or any other product.
• It cannot be transferred to another Google account, sold or given away.

Changes to the offer

While a pre-registration campaign is running, the reward is as described here, and Google Play does not allow it to change. Outside a running campaign, TachyonDev, LLC may change or end the offer. Any change is published on this page, and the date above changes with it.

Ending the offer does not take back a reward already delivered.

Google Play

Pre-registering, installing the app and receiving the reward all go through Google Play, so Google Play's Terms of Service apply to them as well. TachTables collects nothing to deliver the reward. What Google Play collects along the way is Google's, as the privacy statement sets out.
